Friday, Apr 13, 2018
Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has given Statoil consent for modifications to the co-generation plant at Mongstad – the Refinery Heat Project (RHP).

Statoil Mongstad has received consent to make the necessary modifications and adaptations to the refinery and the CHP plant as a result of the termination of the plant's existing gas supply contract.

Ordinary operation of the CHP plant will also terminate. The refinery's heating needs will be covered by the conversion of gas turbine 12 (GT12) into a gas-fired generator.
